The PPCT Defensive Tactics Course is a research based use of force instructor system. It is one of the most respected training programs in the world. More than 40,000 instructors worldwide teach the program. The PPCT system is a mandatory part of training in many states including Mississippi. This system is tactically, legally and medically acceptable.

     The impact weapon is a method of control which has serious legal implications. When used correctly, the impact weapon is effective in controlling a high level of assault directed at serious injury toward the officer or others. When used improperly, the impact weapon can cause serious and unnecessary injury resulting in excessive force charges against an officer.
